Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Sign up with just an email and password — your 7-day trial begins immediately. You only add a card if you decide to keep using Fire Door App after the trial.

How are items billed?

On the Seat plan all the work is included, so items cost nothing more. On the Usage plan it's £0.75 per item assessed, one flat rate. Items loaded from a schedule before the visit aren't charged until they are assessed. Survey reports are always free.

Can I run fire doors and fire stopping together?

Yes. Fire stopping runs in its own workspace on the same subscription — all three workspaces share your clients, properties and team. Switch between them from the top bar. One login, one bill.

What happens when my trial ends?

We remind you before the trial ends and on its last day. Nothing is charged and nothing converts on its own — there is no card on file. When it ends, the workspace pauses until an owner chooses a plan. Everything you set up is kept and nothing is deleted. Need a little longer? Email info@firedoorapp.co.uk and we'll extend it.

Does it work with no signal?

Capture keeps working with no signal once the survey is open on your phone or tablet. Items, photos and tested-system choices are saved on the device and sync when you reconnect. Opening a survey and downloading reports need a signal.

Can I switch between plans later?

Yes. An owner changes plan from Billing at any time, and Billing shows when the change takes effect.

How long does setup take?

We walk you through workspace branding, your capture vocabularies and your tested-systems catalogue the moment you sign up. The defaults work before you change anything.

Do my clients cost a seat?

No. Client portal access is never billed as a seat, however many of their people you invite.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period, and access stays open until then. Before you go, an owner can download the workspace archive — your records as CSV files — always free on the Seat plan and one a week free on Usage. Survey reports download as PDFs as they always do.
